A faded passage is recorded within its pages:
"Should you lay eyes upon a Face-Borrower, never utter their name, never ask where they hail from, and never compel them to speak of themselves.
The more they speak, the more their visage frays away.
Once their form dissipates entirely, anyone who has beheld them shall lose all memory of their own face.
The Face-Borrowing Youths are the anomalies of the Faceless Realm that bear the closest likeness to humans.
Yet they also stand as a solemn warning:
Any being that cannot be fully comprehended cannot sustain a stable existence.
Thus, these false youths are neither demons nor spirits.
They are simply:
'Incomplete existence, in its purest form.'"
Folk Lore
"Should you wander past abandoned old schools or dilapidated halls after dark and spot a lone child sitting beneath a lamp, do not ask for their name.
If they lift their head to gaze at you, turn and flee at once.
For they are in the midst of trying to become someone you know."
